The Center for Leadership Studies Announces Four New Programs in Their Performance Curriculum

Cary, NC – September 12, 2023 – The Center for Leadership Studies (CLS), the global home of the Situational Leadership® Model, announced the release of four new courses in their Performance Curriculum, designed to support leaders with the skills to overcome critical business challenges: Onboarding for Performance, Effective 1:1s, Team Meetings and Remote Leadership.

As organizations continue to navigate the challenges of the modern business environment, leaders need tactical solutions to increase their leadership efficiency. These new courses help leaders transform these challenges into opportunities that foster growth, communication, accountability and resilience. Available in in-person instructor-led training (ILT) and virtual instructor-led training (vILT), Onboarding for Performance, Effective 1:1s, Team Meetings and Remote Leadership are 2-hour courses that create immediate results and develop leaders’ skills to drive performance in daily scenarios.

“The Performance Curriculum provides four exciting opportunities for leaders to build a foundation of engagement and accountability with the people they lead through effective communication,” said Suzie Bishop, Vice President of Product Development at The Center for Leadership Studies.

“Though most widely known for the Situational Leadership® Model, The Center for Leadership Studies has an affinity for supporting the role of the leader as manager overall. We’ve developed this curriculum to support the daily activities of leaders that drive performance within organizations,” said Maureen Shriver, CEO at The Center for Leadership Studies.

A leader’s opportunity to engage and influence their team members starts on Day 1 and continues through touchpoints, milestones and interactions throughout the employee experience or life cycle. Since leaders have the most significant impact on employees’ success and engagement at work, their ability to lead effectively and purposefully at each of these moments is paramount. The new Performance Curriculum series lays the foundation for an onboarding partnership that empowers employees, 1:1 practices that create alignment, making team meetings a space of collaboration and cultivating a purposeful and inclusive approach to remote leadership.

“I admire the consistency and connectedness between all the courses. One supports the other, reinforces the concepts and the content continually challenges the leader to look out (window) and within (mirror) to evaluate what is truly going on and to see things as they are,” glowed a Learning and Development Training Manager for a prominent utilities company.
