RALEIGH, N.C. — September 30, 2026 — The Center for Leadership Studies (CLS) has announced the release of Situational Coaching® for Leaders, an updated learning experience designed to help managers meet the growing demand for effective workplace coaching.

“Organizations increasingly rely on managers to develop talent, yet many leaders lack a clear process for doing so consistently and effectively,” said Suzie Bishop, VP of Product Development at CLS. “The updated Situational Coaching® for Leaders course addresses this challenge by providing a practical framework that enables managers to turn everyday interactions into meaningful coaching opportunities.”

Great coaching is one of the most powerful drivers of performance in the workplace. Built on the foundation of the Situational Leadership® Model, the refreshed course equips leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to apply Situational Leadership® behaviors within coaching conversations. By combining a structured framework with real-world application, the program teaches managers how to identify coaching opportunities, deliver personalized support and adapt to changing needs, enabling them to support sustained growth, engagement and performance over time. Participants learn to move beyond occasional coaching moments and take a more intentional approach to development, building coaching into the rhythm of their everyday leadership.

“At its core, effective coaching is about understanding that what works for one person may not work for another,” said Maureen Shriver, CEO at CLS. “Situational Coaching® for Leaders helps managers develop the judgment and flexibility needed to meet their people where they are while helping them move toward where they want to be.”

This eight-hour course is available in in-person and virtual instructor-led training as well as online training. Featuring a coaching assessment that helps leaders identify coaching opportunities, assess coachees’ readiness and track progress over time, this new program empowers leaders to apply the Situational Coaching® process to lead genuinely impactful coaching conversations. The first virtual public workshop is being held on November 3-4, 2026, and you can register at store.situational.com.
