December 3-4, 2026 – Situational Leadership® Essentials Certification
The Situational Leadership® Essentials certification equips trainers to deliver the course across all modalities—in-person instructor-led and virtual instructor-led. The Situational Leadership® Essentials certification is designed to ensure comprehensive understanding of the Situational Leadership® Model and content proficiency in key concepts while providing opportunities to prepare and personalize facilitation.
This Situational Leadership® Essentials certification is a four-step process that includes:
- Step 1: Trainers are required to attend a Situational Leadership® Essentials workshop in any modality to experience the course as a participant. A member of our team will coordinate this with them.
- Step 2: Review the Situational Leadership® Essentials Facilitation Resources and Trainer Materials to prepare for your certification.
- Step 3: Attend Day 1 of the Situational Leadership® Essentials Virtual Certification course from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CST. Build content mastery through application exercises, case studies, developing organization-specific examples and addressing challenging questions. Prepare for your Day 2 teach-back by reviewing and practicing your assigned content.
- Step 4: Attend Day 2 of certification to conduct your teach-back during the assigned time (to be assigned on Day 1). Participants will either attend a half-day morning (8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. CST) or afternoon (1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. CST) virtual session, and the teach-back will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Return to the CLS Portal to review your certification teach-back feedback from the CLS Master Trainer.
Day 1 Live Session: December 3, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. CST
Day 2 Live Sessions: December 4. Participants will attend either a morning or afternoon session. Specific session times and assignments will be provided separately.
